Shree Anandabava Anathalay,

Established in 1906, this shelter for orphans at Limda Lane, Jamnagar, just opposite the headquarters of Shri Anandabava Seva Sanstha, takes care by providing a ‘home’ for such unprivileged.

There are 45 rooms and each room has two occupants only. The children are provided with all the basics amenities. The children are given education in the sanstha’s own Shree Sharda Mandir Vidyalay, in the same premises. The Anathalay is a big complex and also contains indoor and outdoor games facilities. Tuitions are also provided to the weak students.

No fees are charged at all from the inmates for accommodation, education or for any other services. The children are also taken for picnic and sight seeing and are treated with love and affection. At present there are 100 children in this orphanage.

Girls’ Hostel (Kanya Chatralay).

The 26th January 2001 Gujarat Earthquake had rendered many girls parentless. Girls had lost either of their parents, or both, in addition to the loss of property and their belongings.

In order to provide such girls, permanent shelter, we have constructed a Ladies Hostel, in the premises of our Shri Anandabawa Anathalaya at Limda Lane, Jamnagar.

Since we already had the land, we had not to invest any amount on the same. We also had minor girls in our orphanage. We used to take care of these girls till they were minors. Thereafter, we used to send them to other girls’ hostels. But in order to provide permanent shelter to these girls, we have constructed a this girls’ hostel.

We not only provide shelter for the girls in the Ladies Hostel, but the Sanstha will take care of all the needs of the daughters. We shall look after their education and all other requirements, till they are rehabilitated or are able to look after themselves on their own, or are happily married. We shall also extend our support for their marriage.

Sakarben Sundarji Anjaria old women’s home

(vradhashram)

This old age women’s home, established in 1972 shelters women, above the age of 60 years, who are all alone and no one to look after, or are either discarded by their beloved ones.

The building, in the heart of the city, at Limda Lane here, just adjoining our headquarters, is a  three storied structure and each room has two inmates. The inmates are provided with all the basic amenities. We do not charge anything from the inmates and the Sanstha meets its expenses on charity.

There is a large community hall where the inmates gather for prayers and other activities.
